This week, as many of you know, has been quite rough for us. It started with Zayne, our 5 year old, needing surgery on his mouth for dental work that needed to be done. This was on Tuesday.

On Tuesday evening, while Zeryk was home with the kids and I was at recital practice with Zophie, Zeryk started having severe stomach and chest pains. He felt like he was having a heart attack.

Long story short - after a visit to the ER and a stay in the hospital, he had to have his gallbladder removed due to severe infection. The gallbladder had swollen up from infection, four times it's size and the surgeon said that if he hadn't have come in, the result would have been much worse; if not critical.

We are a self-employed couple that supports our family through our photography company. Zeryk was offered a position working for a new company but now, with the surgery, he cannot begin work for a few weeks. He also cannot lift anything more than 5 pounds and as many of you know, we have a 1 year old at home. Which means care will be limited to myself.. which cuts down drastically the amount of sessions I can take in to earn money for our family.

Typically, this wouldn't be something I would ask for help for but it was completely unexpected. We have depleted the money that was in our savings over this past week between going back and forth from the hospitals, to our house to set up care for our littles, to buying food for them to eat, to driving Zophie back and forth to her dance recital and much more. We tried our best to keep life as normal as possible for our little ones so that they were not interrupted more than needed.

We are asking for donations to raise money to help us with all that was and what's to come as Zeryk heals over these next couple of weeks. Zayne also has his 6th birthday coming up next week and even with funds as tight as they are, we at least would still like to have something for him. We have already purchased his decorations well in advance; as I'm an over-planner. But as I stated, this was unexpected and cut in to what we had set aside in savings and for Zayne's party.

We are finally home now to pick up all of the pieces after a 4 day hospital stay and hopefully get things back in order, but the road to recovery is still a couple of weeks.

Anyone who donates $50 or more to this will receive a voucher via email for a mini session of your choice, usable in the 2019 year.

We appreciate all that you all have done and continue to do for us. Without each of you, I'm not sure we would have ever made it through this week.
